I have used MOD for some time. I noticed in creating backup scripts that the AppData folder is no longer available to back up. Major red flag as it contains important files that I want backed up - like email. I changed to a different service, and deleted ALL my files from MOD.

Wrote at least 4 times to contact us, but they still charged credit card twice. My company issued a refund the next day. Now they have charge my account again (a month later). Wrote them again and called. Left a message for John. There is no place on their site to change the credit card info.. The contact us tab seems to be more for tech stuff than account problems; however, it is the only available contact choice.

In summary, I would not recommend My Other Drive to a friend.

Too many problems uploading the files and launching the file manager very rarely works. I have now given up and trying to cancel my subscription which doesn't seem that easy either. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I've given Myotherdrive five stars for security and customer support, two issues I know nothing about, but I'd prefer to assume the best rather than inflict the injustice of assuming the worse. Navigation is difficult, but if I can live and learn, I can't imagine anyone giving 'ease of use' less than three stars. Value for the money is obviously a plus for the service as is storage space. It has features that are going to be fun to use when I unload pictures for a large family to share. I like not having software on my computer uploading files for me. Rather do it myself from time to time. For short term backup, I use a free program called Synkron and upload to a flashdrive residing on the back of my computer, but it's always best to have important material entirely off-site, away from house fires, tornadoes, and theft.

In summary, I would recommend My Other Drive to a friend.

I subscribed to MyOtherDrive as a backup for my computer. It took forever to upload the initial files and working with the website is cumbersome not to mention that customer support is virtually non-existant. would not recommend this online storage.
