Store and Serve is a below average online storage and file sharing service. The website is neatly designed, but the service is not up to scratch and there have been reports of even premium subscribers being subjected to constant advertising and spam when they provide an email address. Unless you are absolutely desperate this is probably one to stay away from.
Store and Serve is at best an amateur service and at worst a complete con. We aren't sure exactly where it sits in between these two things but didn't stick around long enough to find out. It claims to offer completely free file sharing without registration, but you are constantly bombarded with messages asking you to upgrade if you use the service and we couldn't get it to work anyway.
The service is only accessible through a web based interface - which to Store and Serve's credit is reasonably attractive and well designed. However, the simple uploading facility does not work properly and you can wait half an hour to upload a small file to find it has crashed. You get access to a file manager interface if you subscribe to the premium service, but again this doesn't work well and is prone to bugs and crashes.
Security is something Store and Serve makes no mention of and the help section of the site did not seem to work when we checked it out so we couldn't find out that way. We also tried to send a message to support, but are still awaiting a response weeks later. Since there is no mention of security we would assume that it is either non-existent or not very well implemented so would advise not to trust any important files to the service.
The subscription plans on offer are confusing in what they actually offer. There are two free accounts - one which you have to sign up for and one you don't - and a premium paid for account. The amount of space, bandwidth and downloads you can have varies depending on which option you go for, but even the free ones aren't worth bothering with in our opinion.
If you can't tell yet, we don't think much of Store and Serve's service. The faulty upload tool, buggy interface and complete lack of support all point to an amateur service - not even mentioning the fact they only take payments through Paypal. There are plenty of other free options around and we recommend looking at these way before thinking about Store and Serve.
